Montenegro Establishes Development Bank

Government lunches development bank to boost economic growth

The Government of Montenegro has officially decided to establish the Development Bank, with the decision set to take effect the day after its publication in the Official Gazette.

Nikola Tripković, Executive Director of the Investment and Development Fund (currently undergoing transformation), has been appointed as the authorized representative responsible for registration and operational launch.

According to the government document:

●  The State of Montenegro is the sole founder of the Development Bank, with all founder rights and obligations carried out by the Government.
●  The bank will operate as a legal entity with rights and responsibilities defined by law, this decision, and its official Statute.

Funding for the Bank’s Establishment

The costs of founding the Development Bank will be covered by resources from the Investment and Development Fund.

This marks a significant step in Montenegro’s financial sector, as the Development Bank is expected to play a key role in supporting economic growth and investment initiatives.
