Free Guided Tours Across 51 Croatian Cities and Towns

The "Discover Your Country" project offers free tours across Croatia to celebrate its day of international recognition, promoting cultural heritage and professional tourist guides

To mark 15 January, the day of Croatia’s international recognition, the Association of Tourist Guide Societies of Croatia, in partnership with the Croatian Tourist Board (HTZ) and other cultural organisations, is offering free guided tours in 51 cities and towns across the country.

Part of the “Discover Your Country” project, these tours aim to deepen citizens’ and tourists’ understanding of Croatian culture and heritage. The initiative, starting at noon on 12 January, also highlights the value of professional tourist guides and their role in preserving cultural narratives.

Partners include historical units, museums, and other institutions, with tours ranging from Dubrovnik’s Old Town to Zagreb’s Ban Jelačić Square, offering unique insights into Croatia’s diverse cultural and historical legacy.
