Croatia’s Rimac to Drive Saudi Arabia’s First EV Brand

In a bold new chapter for Saudi Arabia's automotive ambitions, Ceer—the nation's first electric vehicle (EV) brand—has forged a landmark partnership with Croatia’s cutting-edge Rimac Technology

This high-stakes collaboration will see Rimac’s state-of-the-art Electric Drive Systems (EDS) powering Ceer’s premier line of luxury electric vehicles, setting a new standard for the region’s EV market.

The deal, sealed at Rimac’s headquarters in Croatia, was marked by the presence of Rimac’s visionary CEO, Mate Rimac, alongside Ceer’s James DeLuca. Ceer, a joint venture between Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) and global electronics titan Foxconn, aims to redefine luxury and sustainability in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) automotive landscape.

For Rimac, famed for its pioneering electric systems used in high-performance models such as the Rimac Nevera and the Aston Martin Valkyrie, the collaboration underscores a shift from exclusive, limited-edition projects to ambitious, large-scale ventures.

This year alone, Rimac entered a major agreement with BMW to supply high-voltage battery systems, but the Ceer partnership is its first foray into the GCC, signaling the brand’s commitment to scale and global reach.

Ceer’s choice of Rimac as a key technology partner highlights both companies’ shared commitment to innovation and performance. With Saudi Arabia positioning itself as a hub for sustainable luxury, the collaboration marks not only an engineering milestone but a visionary step towards an electrified future for the Kingdom.
