Dr Pepper Finally Matches Pepsi in U.S. Market

Dr Pepper has achieved a significant milestone by matching Pepsi in U.S. market sales for the first time

In the decades-long rivalry between Coca-Cola and Pepsi, Dr Pepper has consistently held third place in the U.S. soft drink market. However, the 139-year-old company has now climbed to second place.

According to data published by The Wall Street Journal, the sales of the original versions of Dr Pepper and Pepsi are now equal, as consumers increasingly switch from regular Pepsi to calorie-free versions.

Coca-Cola continues to dominate the market with more than double the sales volume of its nearest competitor.

For those unfamiliar, Dr Pepper is a popular carbonated soft drink known for its unique blend of 23 flavours, setting it apart from traditional colas. First introduced in 1885, Dr Pepper has become a beloved beverage in the United States, often associated with its distinctive, rich taste and wide variety of available versions.
