SalamAir Resumes Seasonal Flights Between Sarajevo and Muscat

Oman’s budget carrier SalamAir is launching direct seasonal flights between Muscat and Sarajevo, providing a new gateway for Bosnian travelers to the Middle East.

Starting from July 2, Oman’s budget airline SalamAir will reinstate direct flights between Muscat and Sarajevo, marking the return of a sought-after connection after a successful summer season in 2023.

The seasonal route will operate twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, until August 30, offering a unique opportunity for both Bosnian and Omani travelers to explore each other’s cultures.

This move comes amid growing diplomatic and travel-friendly initiatives, as Bosnia’s Council of Ministers recently approved visa-free access for citizens of Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain from June 1 through September 30, 2025.

SalamAir’s move bolsters Sarajevo’s status as an emerging travel hub, while strengthening the ties between the two nations and enhancing tourism prospects in both directions.

With affordable fares and easy access, the Muscat-Sarajevo route promises to be a welcome addition for travelers seeking a blend of adventure and cultural exchange in the heart of the Balkans.
