CIAK Grupa Acquires Slovenian and Bosnian Auto Parts Distributors from LKQ Europe

CIAK Grupa, a Croatian car parts distributor, has announced the acquisition of two companies, Slovenian STAHLGRUBER Trgovina and Bosnian SIM IMPEX, both subsidiaries of LKQ Europe

Croatian car parts distributor CIAK Grupa has announced that its subsidiary, C.I.A.K. Auto, has agreed to purchase STAHLGRUBER Trgovina from Slovenia and SIM IMPEX from the Serb Republic in Bosnia, both of which are part of the US-based LKQ Corp.’s European subsidiary, LKQ Europe.

The acquisition of STAHLGRUBER Trgovina has already been finalized, while the purchase of Banja Luka-based SIM IMPEX is still pending regulatory approval, according to a statement CIAK made to the Zagreb stock exchange.

The financial terms of the transactions were not disclosed.

Located in Ljubljana, STAHLGRUBER Trgovina is a leading independent distributor in the Slovenian automotive aftermarket, with annual revenues of 12 million euro and operates from three branches.

The acquisition aligns with CIAK’s strategy to strengthen its market position in Southern and Eastern Europe, leveraging its core activities in car parts, car batteries, and motor oil distribution, alongside waste management and recycling services.
