Croatian Passport Among the World’s Strongest

Croatia has strengthened its global mobility, with its citizens now able to travel visa-free to 184 countries.

This achievement places Croatia alongside nations such as Estonia, Slovakia, Slovenia, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom, reflecting the country’s rising international standing and ease of travel for its citizens.

At the top of the 2025 Henley Passport Index are Singapore (193 destinations), South Korea (190), and Japan (189), while European countries continue to dominate the top ten rankings.

Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, and Spain each provide access to 188 destinations, with Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, and the Netherlands offering 187. Notably, the United States has fallen out of the top ten for the first time in the index’s 20-year history, ranking 12th alongside Malaysia.

On the other end of the spectrum, Afghanistan remains the least powerful passport, granting visa-free access to only 26 destinations—a record mobility gap compared to Singapore. Other countries with limited travel freedom include Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Pakistan, and Somalia, highlighting the global disparities in international travel opportunities.
