Japan and Serbia Deepen Business Ties

A new agreement between leading Japanese and Serbian business associations signals a bold push for deeper economic collaboration, investment, and shared opportunity

In a move set to reshape bilateral business relations, the Japanese Business Alliance in Serbia (JBAS) and the Serbia-Japan Business Club have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening investment and economic cooperation.

The Club, which includes major Japanese players such as Toyo Tires, Nidec, and JATCO, now formally partners with JBAS to coordinate joint activities and connect more effectively with local opportunities.

The agreement outlines collaborative efforts to promote investment, share market intelligence, and facilitate business missions—ushering in what both parties call a “new phase” in mutual economic engagement.

As part of the deal, JBAS will serve as the main point of contact for Japanese companies exploring Serbia, offering guidance and support in navigating the country’s evolving business landscape.
