At a recent conference in Washington, Slovenian Ambassador Iztok Mirošič told business leaders that, regardless of the political climate, Slovenia must continue fostering strong ties with the US, the world’s leading business powerhouse.
He noted that while Trump’s policies have raised questions, bilateral relations would remain crucial as the US enters a new, multi-polar era.
Mirošič urged Slovenia to focus on strengthening scientific and technological partnerships, particularly in AI, cybersecurity, and space exploration.
John Connelly, CEO of Slovenian-based Interblock, highlighted Slovenia’s innovation, skilled workforce, and strategic location as key assets for success in the US.
He also argued that Trump’s stance had not affected the country’s attractiveness to foreign investors.
Saša Mrak Hendrickson, head of the Slovenian-American Club, added that the US market’s advantages, such as a single official language, make it an ideal destination for Slovenian business expansion.
