Slovenia and UAE Establish New Business Council

In a step toward deepening economic collaboration, Slovenia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have formalized an agreement to establish the Slovenian-Arab Business Council

The landmark accord was signed during Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar’s first official visit to the UAE on 3 and 4 November, marking a new chapter in bilateral trade relations between the two countries.

During the visit, President Pirc Musar met with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for comprehensive discussions on global issues, including the crises in Ukraine and the Middle East, and the importance of inclusive representation at the United Nations.

President Pirc Musar noted the UAE’s support for Slovenia’s initiative for enhanced representation of women in global institutions, adding, “In many aspects, we have very similar views of the world”

With the UAE recognized as Slovenia’s second most significant trading partner in the Gulf region, the newly formed Slovenian-Arab Business Council

is set to promote further investment and cooperation, reflecting the two nations’ shared vision of expanded economic and political engagement.
