Revoz, Renault’s Slovenian subsidiary, is preparing to launch the production of the revamped electric Twingo in 2026, but the plant’s future is set for a major boost with an exciting new project.
According to reports, the plant will also begin assembling Nissan’s small electric vehicle, the Pixo, as early as 2027.
This collaboration between Renault and Nissan, already solidified after months of negotiations, will mark a significant milestone in the growth of Revoz and its role in the electric vehicle market.
The Pixo, designed to be a cost-effective, compact EV, is expected to feature a range of 200-300 km and will come equipped with a Chinese-made Shanghai eDrive motor.
With a price tag likely to fall under €20,000, it’s poised to capture the interest of budget-conscious buyers.
The Slovene facility could create up to 400 new jobs, supported by state subsidies, ensuring that the plant remains at the forefront of the European electric vehicle industry.
With an initial annual production target of 150,000 units, Revoz is set to become a key player in the region’s EV manufacturing landscape.
