Raiffeisen Introduces Safer and Smarter Visa Cards in Serbia

Raiffeisen Bank has become the first bank in Serbia to launch a new generation of Visa cards that omit all printed details except the cardholder’s name.

Key information such as card number, CVV, and expiry date are now accessible only through the Raiffeisen Moja mBanka mobile app, enhancing security and reducing the risk of misuse in case of lost or stolen cards.

The new cards, made from high-quality recycled plastic, offer users greater flexibility for online payments, including generating a 3DS security code and temporarily blocking the card if fraud is suspected.

Additionally, clients can now view their PIN directly within the app, making it easier to manage their cards without compromising security.

Marko Nikolić, director of Raiffeisen’s card operations, emphasized that this innovation combines convenience with enhanced protection, while also reflecting the bank’s commitment to sustainability and ESG principles by reducing physical card production and associated carbon emissions.
