Leadership Transition at One Albania

4iG Group appoints seasoned strategist Tamas Tabori to lead One Albania

In a strategic leadership shift, Tamas Tabori has been appointed interim CEO of One Albania, stepping into the role. The move follows the departure of Brano Djurovic, who led the company through its formative post-merger years and now takes over as CEO of ONE Macedonia Telecommunications.

Tabori, a seasoned telecom executive, is currently Deputy CEO for Telecom Strategy at Hungary’s 4iG Group, the parent company of One Albania. His appointment reflects 4iG’s broader regional strategy to accelerate integration and digital transformation across its Balkan telecom holdings. Before this, he played a pivotal role in leading DIGI Hungary through a significant growth phase, increasing customer revenue by over 20 percent and tripling EBITDA in just one year. He later managed the integration of Vodafone Hungary (then rebranded One Hungary) into the group’s expanding portfolio.

The transition marks a carefully orchestrated succession. Djurovic, in a farewell message, described his tenure at One Albania as “one of the most meaningful chapters” of his career and expressed full confidence that Tabori would build on the company’s current momentum. Under Djurovic’s leadership, One Albania solidified its position as a major player in the Albanian telecom market following the high-profile merger of ALBtelecom and One Telecommunications in 2023. Initiatives like the launch of the One Connect Hub positioned the company at the forefront of digital innovation in the country.

As interim CEO, Tabori is expected to focus on strengthening operational efficiency, expanding fiber infrastructure, and preparing for future 5G rollout—all key to ensuring One Albania remains competitive in a rapidly evolving market. His appointment sends a clear signal that 4iG is doubling down on performance, integration, and regional cohesion across its telecommunications assets in Southeast Europe.
