Henkel Names Đorđe Popović as Board President in Serbia

Seasoned regional executive to lead company’s strategy and operations from Belgrade

Đorđe Popović has been appointed President of the Management Board of Henkel Serbia as of 1 August 2025, adding to his existing responsibilities as General Manager of Henkel Consumer Brands (HCB) Adriatics. The move signals Henkel’s commitment to strong regional leadership amid a shifting consumer and retail landscape.

Born in Germany in 1978 and a graduate in economics from the University of Bamberg, Popović has been with Henkel since 2004, holding key sales and marketing roles in AustriaSerbia, and Germany.

His international portfolio includes managing one of Henkel’s major acquisitions—the Spotless Group—as well as leading global e-commerce and international key accounts.

Popović has headed Henkel Serbia’s detergent and household care business since 2017, expanded his role to cover the Adriatics region by 2020, and took over the Beauty Care division in 2022. Under his leadership, these segments were merged into the Henkel Consumer Brands platform in 2023. Now at the helm of Henkel Serbia’s board, he is expected to further integrate regional expertise with global priorities from the company’s base in Belgrade.
