Budva’s Ambitious Infrastructure Overhaul

Budva embarks on a transformative journey with a €21 million investment in infrastructure, addressing long-standing issues while preparing for the future

In a bold move to revamp the city’s infrastructure, the Municipality of Budva has unveiled plans to invest over €21 million in 2025, marking a significant step towards addressing both historical challenges and future needs.

Key projects include resolving stormwater management issues in the Budvanska školjka area, a problem that has long plagued the heart of the city.

With over €1.8 million allocated for these efforts, four crucial stormwater channels will be constructed, including one near the Post Office and another in the Babin Do neighborhood, alleviating years of flooding.

Further investment will see the construction of new roads, easing traffic congestion and improving access to previously underserved areas.

Among the most notable projects is the underwater discharge in Buljarica, which will lay the groundwork for a future wastewater treatment facility.

The plan, marking a €4 million increase from last year’s budget, underscores Budva’s commitment to modernization, with over a third of the funding earmarked for urban areas.
