Croatian captain Luka Modrić and Bosnia and Herzegovina captain Edin Džeko have become part of the ambitious Tri Sestrice development, a luxury tourism project valued at approximately €920 million.
The resort will be built on the Adriatic coast near Neum, around ten kilometres from the Croatian border, with developers aiming to create one of the region’s most exclusive tourism destinations.
Modrić has already purchased a plot within the future resort, while Džeko is also among the project’s investors, having recently visited the site with lead investor Vicenco Blagaić. The exact size of Džeko’s financial stake has not been disclosed.
The development, which has been years in preparation due to infrastructure and property-related procedures, will cover around 260 hectares along the Adriatic coastal highway. Plans include seven luxury hotels offering around 400 accommodation units, approximately 500 apartments, a marina, an 18-hole golf course spanning more than 200 hectares, restaurants, bars, retail outlets, museums, galleries, sports facilities and a beach club.
The first phase of construction will include two hotels, luxury villas and apartments, a smaller marina and the beach club. While developers have yet to announce a completion date, they expect construction to accelerate once work begins at full scale.
If completed as planned, Tri Sestrice is expected to become one of the Adriatic’s most prestigious tourism and lifestyle destinations, significantly boosting the tourism profile of the Neum area and attracting high-end international visitors.
