Snoop Dogg, Letitia Casta, and Sergei Bubka are set to carry the Olympic torch in Paris ahead of the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics

American rapper Snoop Dogg is set to carry the Olympic torch in a star-studded prelude to the Paris 2024 Olympics, joined by French actress Laetitia Casta, French rapper MC Solaar, and former Ukrainian pole vaulter Sergey Bubka. The announcement adds to the excitement and anticipation for the upcoming Games, highlighting a blend of cultural and athletic excellence.

Snoop Dogg, known for his iconic influence in the music industry, will bear the torch through the vibrant streets of Saint-Denis, a northern suburb of Paris renowned for its rich ethnic diversity and the location of the Olympic Stadium and Aquatics Centre. 

The 52-year-old artist, who has also been tapped by NBC as a commentator for the Paris Olympics, expressed his enthusiasm: “Let’s celebrate and make these games unforgettable. Let the best shine like gold.”

Laetitia Casta, celebrated for her contributions to French cinema, and Sergey Bubka, a legendary figure in athletics, will join Snoop Dogg in this symbolic relay, enhancing the cultural significance of the torch-bearing tradition. Their involvement underscores the unity and global spirit that the Olympic Games aim to foster, bridging the worlds of sports, music, and film in a historic celebration of human achievement and international cooperation.
