Kustendorf 2024: International Film Talents Gather for 17th Festival

The 17th edition of the Kustendorf Film Festival, a renowned international film event, has officially opened in Mokra Gora, this year under the banner "Not Surveillance, Cinematography"

The festival’s competitive lineup features 17 films vying for top honors – the Golden, Silver, and Bronze Egg awards, along with the “Vilko Filač” award for exceptional cinematography. Filmmakers from a diverse array of countries including Serbia, Austria, Finland, Greece, Poland, Sweden, Germany, the USA, Egypt, Mexico, Uzbekistan, North Macedonia, India, Czech Republic, Croatia, and Russia are set to showcase their cinematic talents.

An esteemed international jury, consisting of Italian author and journalist Sandro Veronesi, Serbian actress Bojana Panic, and Uzbek film director Muzafarkon Erkinov, will adjudicate the event.

The decision for the “Vilko Filač” cinematography award will be in the hands of distinguished directors of photography Vladan Radović from Rome and Michel Amathieu from France.

Italian filmmaker Matteo Garrone has been honored with the festival’s prestigious “Tree of Life” award.
