Wizz Air, the Hungarian low-cost carrier, is adding a fresh route to its network with direct flights between Belgrade and Madrid, set to take off on 28 October.
The move marks another step in the airline’s steady expansion in the Balkans, as it now connects Serbia to 12 European countries.
Having launched operations in Serbia back in 2010, Wizz Air has continued to see the country as a “strategically important market” for growth, according to the company’s statement.
The new route offers a budget-friendly bridge between two dynamic capitals — one known for tapas and flamenco, the other for rakija and the Danube.
As travel demand rebounds and Belgrade cements its place as a regional hub, Wizz Air’s latest addition will offer passengers more flexibility and choice — whether for work, wanderlust, or a weekend escape in the Spanish sun.
