Vinistra 2025: A Toast to Istria’s Liquid Gold

Diversity is our strength – and nowhere does it taste better than in a glass of Istrian wine

In the heart of Poreč, the 31st edition of Vinistra unfolded from 9–11 May 2025, transforming the Žatika Hall into a vibrant celebration of wine, culture, and craft.

Over 130 exhibitors, including 90 winemakers from across the region, showcased everything from award-winning Malvasia to small-batch spirits and gourmet delicacies.

This year’s slogan, “Diversity is our strength,” echoed through every glass poured—whether from a grand estate or a family-run cellar.

For the first time, the festival embraced families, adding a warm, communal flavour to its traditionally refined atmosphere.

Visitors swirled and sipped their way through tastings of top-honoured vintages, including the standout Malvasia “Justina 2019”, while also engaging in expert-led workshops, student wine showcases, and panels featuring some of the industry’s brightest minds.

Backed by partners like Blue Lagoon and buoyed by local pride, Vinistra 2025 was not just a trade show—it was Istria’s spirited declaration that its wines now rival the world’s best.
