Regional Leaders Sign Agreement to Boost Female Leadership in Logistics

Leading experts from the region signed a Cooperation Agreement to empower women in the logistics sector. At the conference "Power of Joint Planning: Transport and Logistics for a Stable Regional Economy," held at the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, more than 200 business representatives from Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, and Greece gathered.

The agreement aims to increase the representation of women in leadership positions within the logistics and transport sectors.

The agreement was signed by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Confindustria Serbia, the Slovenian Business Club, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce Representation in Serbia, and the Hellenic Business Association of Serbia.

Recent data shows that the participation of women in the logistics sector across the region ranges from 15% to 33%, depending on the country, and the signed agreement seeks to further promote women in leadership roles in this sector.

The conference featured expert panels, bringing together institutional representatives, leading experts, and industry leaders from the fields of transport, logistics, and supply chains. These included representatives from the EU Delegation, the Ministry of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure of Serbia, Thessaloniki Port Authority, Port of Split, Port of Koper, MSC Global Shipping Company, DP World, Transfera, Dragon Maritime, Milšped Group, the Italian company Alpe Adria, Intereuropa, WTO, and CBS International.

The panel topics included infrastructure projects, planning in conditions of instability and supply chain sustainability, boosting competitiveness, regional cooperation, innovation, and intermodal transport.

The conference “Power of Joint Planning: Transport and Logistics for a Stable Regional Economy” was organised in partnership by the Association of Italian Industrialists, Confindustria Serbia, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the Slovenian Business Club, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, and the Hellenic Business Association in Serbia.
