Jadrolinija Secures World Bank Loan For Fleet Modernisation

New ships planned as part of long-term upgrade strategy

Jadrolinija has secured financing from the World Bank to modernise its fleet and improve maritime transport services in Croatia. The investment will support the acquisition of new vessels and the upgrade of existing ones.

The project aims to increase efficiency, safety and environmental sustainability, as newer ships are expected to be more energy-efficient and better adapted to modern standards.

It is part of a broader strategy to strengthen connectivity between Croatia’s mainland and its islands.

Officials say the modernisation will improve passenger experience and ensure more reliable ferry services, which are essential for daily transport and tourism across the Adriatic coast.
