European Business Leaders Gather in Belgrade

CEBAC welcomes new Secretary General at networking cocktail

Belgrade’s Hotel Metropol played host to a high-level networking cocktail of the Council of European Business Associations and Chambers (CEBAC), bringing together diplomats, ambassadors, and leaders of bilateral business organisations operating in Serbia. The event provided a platform for exchanging ideas, strengthening ties, and shaping future cooperation between European and Serbian business communities.

A highlight of the evening was the handover of duties from outgoing Secretary General Sanja Ivanić to Silvia Rakić, Head of Business Services and Deputy Director of Confindustria Serbia.

Confindustria Serbia will lead CEBAC for the next year, following a decision made in July. “CEBAC can become an even stronger platform for dialogue and cooperation, turning business challenges into opportunities,” Rakić emphasised in her opening remarks.

Founded in May 2024, CEBAC now unites 15 European business associations and chambers in Serbia, representing more than 2,000 companies. With its growing influence, the council is positioning itself as a key driver of improved business conditions and stronger trade links between Serbia and European markets.
