Air Serbia Launches First Direct Flight Between Belgrade and Guangzhou

Air Serbia inaugurated its first direct flight between Belgrade and Guangzhou, the capital of China’s Guangdong Province, on Monday. Upon landing at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, the flight, JU988, was greeted with a water arch ceremony, a traditional honour in civil aviation.

The new route will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, providing a key link between the two cities. This follows the launch of a direct route by China Southern Airlines on 25th September, further strengthening the aviation ties between China and Serbia.

Deng Yonggang, deputy general manager of the Guangdong Airport Authority, hailed the new Air Serbia route as a historic step in boosting aviation connectivity and facilitating greater personnel exchanges, as well as economic and trade cooperation between the two nations.
