€3.4 Million Allocated For Six Croatian Projects Outside Croatia

Croatian Government Extends Support For Communities In Serbia And Bosnia And Herzegovina

The Croatian Government has approved the allocation of €3.4 million for six projects in 2025, aimed at supporting Croat communities living outside Croatia — one in Serbia and five in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Among the funded initiatives are: expansion and modernisation of the Dr. Fra Mato Nikolić Hospital in Travnik; renovation of the damaged Fra Dominik Mandić Gymnasium in Široki Brijeg; improvement of student facilities in Sarajevo; support for the cultural programme Build a Mill Where There Is Water – 7 Matica by the Croatian National Council in Serbia; funding for the Banja Luka Diocese to renovate the Marija Zvijezda Monastery and build a new church in Drvar  and financing of the Mir International-run Memorial Centre Groblje Mira.

This decision reflects Zagreb’s continued commitment to preserving cultural ties, supporting infrastructure, and maintaining institutional capacities for Croatian minorities and diaspora communities beyond its borders.
