Serbia’s Angelina Topić Becomes World Junior High Jump Champion

Angelina Topić, the talented Serbian high jumper, has been crowned World Junior Champion after a stellar performance at the World Championships in Lima, where she cleared 1.91 metres

Topić stood out as the clear favourite, being the only competitor to achieve this height, securing the gold medal with ease.

This latest achievement adds to her growing list of accolades, as she now holds both the European and World Junior titles in the under-20 category. Last year, Topić claimed the European Junior Championship in Jerusalem with a winning jump of 1.90 metres, further establishing her dominance in the sport.

Despite a recent injury during the qualifying rounds of the Paris Olympics, which sidelined her from the final, Topić has made a remarkable comeback. Her victory in Lima not only marks a significant milestone in her career but also signals her readiness to continue competing at the highest levels in the years to come.
