Slovenian Insurance Group Opens Skopje Polyclinic

Insurance powerhouse Sava deepens roots in North Macedonia with a state-of-the-art medical centre, blending financial security and frontline care

In a bold pivot from policies to patients, Slovenia’s second-largest insurance group, Sava, has launched a cutting-edge polyclinic in Skopje—marking its first foray into healthcare services in North Macedonia.

Already a familiar name in the region through insurance, pension management, and vehicle inspection, Sava is now venturing into medical territory with Vita S, a facility it claims to be among the most advanced in the country.

Developed in collaboration with renowned trauma specialist Dr Simon Trpeski, the clinic showcases Sava’s commitment to holistic customer care, marrying top-tier technology with specialist expertise.

The move follows Sava’s growing healthcare investments across the Balkans, including its 2019 acquisition of Slovenia’s Diagnostic Centre Bled.

That centre is now planning Slovenia’s first private hospital, a €30 million investment.

With a 30-year legacy in North Macedonia, Sava’s expansion into health marks both a strategic evolution—and a promise to put well-being at the heart of business.
