The current CEO, Oliver Zipse, will step down the day before, following a mutual agreement with the board.
Nedeljković, born in Kruševac, has been with BMW since 1993, working his way up from an intern to one of the company’s key leaders. Since 2019, he has served on the Board of Management as the head of production, gaining broad international experience and overseeing major plants in Oxford, Leipzig, and Munich, as well as leading the company’s global quality division.
Supervisory Board Chairman Nikolas Peter praised his “clear strategic vision, strong implementation skills and entrepreneurial mindset.” Nedeljković’s contract as CEO will run until 2031, marking a significant moment as a Serbian-born executive takes the helm of one of the world’s leading automotive manufacturers.
