The Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management announced that veterinary certificates for the export of beef and lamb to Tunisia have been successfully aligned, marking an important step in opening new markets in Africa. The ministry highlighted that final negotiations are also underway for the export of live cattle and sheep, with the Veterinary Directorate fully prepared to meet Tunisia’s strict requirements.
Officials said the official opening of the Tunisian market for live animals from Serbia is expected soon.
The development is particularly significant for the country’s cattle and sheep sectors, providing opportunities to supply high-quality meat and livestock to a stable and promising North African market.
The ministry emphasized that this initiative continues Serbia’s policy of diversifying export destinations, strengthening the country’s position in international agricultural trade, and supporting local producers in expanding their markets abroad.
