North Macedonia Launches One-Stop Shop System for Trade Efficiency

North Macedonia advances with One-Stop Shop System, says Customs Administration Director

North Macedonia is implementing a National One-Stop Shop system aimed at fully digitizing export and import procedures, reducing bureaucracy, and cutting costs and waiting times for businesses.

The initiative is expected to enhance business conditions and accelerate the country’s integration into the EU single market.

The system will streamline cross-border trade by allowing companies to submit applications and documents to multiple government agencies in one centralized platform. This includes the digitization of processes for issuing permits, licenses, and certificates, as well as their payment, ensuring greater efficiency and convenience for businesses.

Collaboration across all 15 institutions involved in issuing permits and licenses is crucial for the success of the system. By simplifying procedures and increasing transparency, the initiative aims to lower operational costs and improve service quality, fostering a more business-friendly environment in North Macedonia.
