Dejan Vuklišević Appointed President of the Banking Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Leadership changes signal a continued focus on stability, regulation and sustainable growth in the country’s banking sector.

The Banking Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina has appointed Dejan Vuklišević, President of the Management Board of , as President of its Managing Board. The decision was taken unanimously at the Association’s constitutive session held on 29 January 2026.

Vuklišević brings more than two decades of experience in the banking and financial sector, having held senior management and strategic roles across Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has led Naša banka since late 2020, with a focus on strengthening stability, responsible banking practices and long-term sustainability.

Commenting on his appointment, Vuklišević said he was honoured by the trust shown by member banks and underlined his commitment to closer cooperation within the sector, further improvement of the regulatory framework and building a resilient financial future for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Lidija Žigić

At the same session, Lidija Žigić, President of the Management Board of the NLB Banka Sarajevo, was appointed Vice President of the Association. Žigić highlighted the Association’s role as a key platform for dialogue between banks, regulators and the wider community, stressing the importance of joint action in supporting financial stability, modern banking and sustainable economic growth.

The new leadership marks a continuity-driven approach at the Banking Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at a time when the sector faces evolving regulatory, technological and macroeconomic challenges.
