Croatia has made a dazzling new mark on the global luxury tourism map with the opening of the Heritage & Resort Hotel Monumenti in Pula.
With an investment of €85 million, the five-star resort stands as a masterful blend of restored Austro-Hungarian military barracks and sleek contemporary design, set on the Saint Catherine peninsula with sweeping views of Brijuni National Park and the Adriatic.
Backed by Kermas Istra d.o.o., the decade-long project is now a sprawling haven of private beaches, marinas, pools, and a congress centre for 400 guests.
All rooms boast sea views, while interiors honour Pula’s aviation and military past with vintage touches and curated antiques.
Entrepreneur Danko Končar, calling it his “life’s project,” sees Monumenti becoming one of Europe’s top hotels.
The grand opening is set for September, but with bookings already exceeding expectations, it seems the world has already discovered Croatia’s newest gem.
