Pula’s Iconic Forum Now Goes Virtual

Innovative project merges the physical and digital, offering a unique exploration experience

Visitors to Pula’s historic Forum can now experience the iconic square in an entirely new way—virtually. Thanks to an ambitious collaboration between the Pula Tourist Board and Holonet, a cutting-edge immersive web platform, the Pula Virtual Forum has come to life. This digital replica of the famous site, coupled with the interactive escape room game Time Secrets of the Forum, transforms the way tourists engage with Pula’s rich heritage.

The meticulously designed virtual Forum is accessible via web browsers, desktop applications, or VR devices, making it possible for people around the globe to explore the square as if they were there. A holographic tourist representative greets digital visitors, offering information and answering questions. Users can also interact with other virtual tourists and even connect with those physically present at the Forum.

For on-site visitors, the experience is enhanced through mixed-reality glasses, which provide access to interactive content about Pula’s history while allowing them to engage with digital visitors in real time. This groundbreaking project not only bridges the physical and virtual worlds but also sets a new standard for cultural and tourism innovation.
