Croatia Recalls Imported Food Over Chemical Risks

Authorities warn of potential health concerns

Food safety authorities in Croatia have issued recalls for several imported food products after detecting chemical substances that could pose potential health risks to consumers. The affected items were identified during routine inspections and monitoring of products on the market.

The warnings were issued through the national food safety system linked to the European Union alert network, which allows countries to quickly exchange information about potentially dangerous food products.

Authorities advised consumers to check whether they purchased the recalled items and avoid consuming them.

Officials say such recalls are precautionary measures aimed at protecting public health and ensuring that food products on the market meet safety standards.
