Addiko Bank Relocates Zagreb Headquarters to Purpose-Built Office in Western District

A strategic move aimed at boosting efficiency, employee experience, and long-term sustainability

Addiko Bank has announced plans to relocate its Zagreb headquarters from its current leased offices on Slavonska Avenue to a newly developed, majority-owned building in the city’s western district of Špansko. The move is expected to be completed by the end of the year, with full operations in the new space scheduled to begin in late 2026. The new headquarters will be situated on Ulica Gustava Krkleca, marking a shift toward greater operational control and long-term strategic positioning.

The decision reflects a forward-looking approach to workplace design and cost efficiency. Existing premises would have required significant upgrades, while the new building allows the bank to tailor the space to its organisational needs, culture, and evolving ways of working. After evaluating multiple locations, the western part of Zagreb emerged as the optimal choice due to strong infrastructure, proximity to major transport routes, and access to a wide range of amenities.

The relocation is also closely aligned with employee needs. Internal analysis showed that around 60% of Zagreb-based staff live west of Savska Street, making the new location more accessible for the majority of employees. The area offers ample parking options and convenient access to shopping centres, restaurants, fitness facilities, and healthcare services, supporting a more balanced and efficient workday.

The new headquarters will bring together more than 420 employees across all key departments, including senior management and business support functions. Designed with a hybrid work model in mind, the space will provide fixed workstations alongside modern amenities such as kitchens and dining areas on every floor, an education and event centre, and facilities for bicycles and electric vehicles. With Addiko Bank owning the majority of the building, it will directly manage maintenance, operational costs, and future development, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable growth and organisational agility.
