Voli Warns Boycott Could Harm Local Agriculture

The retail giant Voli warns that a boycott of its stores could threaten the future of domestic agriculture by forcing them to reduce purchases of local produce.

In a strong letter to local farmers and partners, the Montenegrin retail chain Voli has raised concerns over the economic consequences of the upcoming boycott of its stores.

The company, which has long prided itself on its support for the local agricultural sector, warns that the boycott will undermine both their operations and the livelihoods of domestic producers.

For years, Voli has cultivated a robust partnership with local farmers, offering a stable market and consistent support.

However, they now face a difficult choice: reduce the volume of agreed-upon purchases of domestic produce due to the anticipated drop in sales and market instability caused by the boycott.

Voli’s management is calling on all parties involved to consider the long-term effects of such actions.

With the livelihoods of local farmers at risk, the company urges decision-makers to find sustainable solutions that support both business continuity and the continued growth of Montenegro’s agricultural sector.
