Viking Star Docks in Kotor

The Norwegian-American cruiser returns to Kotor, carrying over 900 passengers on a luxury voyage through the Mediterranean

In a scene that blends modern luxury with centuries-old charm, the Viking Star, a floating palace owned by the Norwegian-American cruise giant Viking Ocean Cruises, made its way into the historic Bay of Kotor this morning.

The vessel, which measures a staggering 227 meters in length and weighs 47,800 tons, arrived at 8 a.m. local time, bringing 915 eager passengers to the UNESCO-protected city.

This marks a memorable return to Kotor, which it first visited in April 2014, when it became only the second port of call on the ship’s inaugural commercial voyage.

The Viking Star is renowned for offering an exceptional standard of service, catering to discerning travellers seeking both relaxation and adventure across the Mediterranean.

After an idyllic day in the charming Montenegrin port, the ship will depart at 11 p.m., continuing its journey across the glittering Adriatic.

With cruise tourism booming in the region, Kotor’s allure as a sought-after destination is becoming increasingly undeniable.
