This year, the company installed an additional 9,158.2 kW of solar capacity across its facilities in Koprivnica, Varazdin, Dugopolje, and Slovenia’s Maribor, generating over 9 million kWh annually.
Supported by the European Union’s Modernisation Fund, which assists 13 member states in achieving energy goals, this green upgrade will cut Podravka’s carbon emissions by 2,000 tonnes each year.
The company’s total solar capacity now stands at 12,995.2 kW, with plans underway to construct a solar park at its new logistics and distribution centre in Koprivnica in 2025.
