On Montenegro’s Statehood Day, Podgorica unveiled the Veljko Vlahović Boulevard, a major infrastructural milestone for the capital’s Stari Aerodrom district.
The boulevard, funded by the government’s €3.5 million investment and executed by the city, is hailed as a testament to effective collaboration between state and local authorities.
Prime Minister Milojko Spajić and Mayor Saša Mujović emphasised the project’s symbolic timing and its potential to transform urban mobility and quality of life.
Mujović outlined ambitious plans for further development, including new streets and a major Sajmište project, signalling a bold new chapter for Podgorica.
The opening stands as a promise to end delays in stalled projects and reflects a renewed commitment to modernising the city’s infrastructure and public spaces.
