One Macedonia Moves Closer to Next-Gen Network

Telecom operator sole bidder in North Macedonia’s frequency spectrum tender

One Macedonia has emerged as the only company to submit an official offer in the public tender for frequency spectrum licences, a process overseen by the Agency for Electronic Communications (AEK). The tender covers the 700 MHz, 1800 MHz, and 3.5 GHz bands, paving the way for the development of high-capacity, next-generation mobile networks.

The regulator will now proceed with assessment and verification, but One Macedonia’s sole bid positions it strongly to secure spectrum resources critical for building a robust and secure infrastructure.

The move is seen as a transformative step in advancing North Macedonia’s digital future and boosting regional competitiveness.

“This is an important step forward for One Macedonia. By securing the spectrum, we are one step closer to building a network that will support the country’s digital transformation and deliver world-class connectivity to our citizens,” said Brano Djurović, CEO of One Macedonia.

The development also reflects the broader ambitions of parent company 4iG Nyrt., which has been expanding its telecom footprint across the Adria region.
