Montenegro Proposes New Strike Law

Montenegro has unveiled a draft law on strikes, introducing several significant changes to labor regulations.

The proposal aims to clarify strike procedures, define legal protections for workers, and ensure balance between labor rights and public interest.

The draft will be sent to the European Commission for review, reflecting Montenegro’s ongoing efforts to align national legislation with EU standards.

Clearer strike rules could enhance labor market stability, improve employer-employee relations, and signal regulatory alignment with European norms, potentially influencing labor frameworks in neighboring countries.
