Montenegro Appoints Mirjana Kojić as Acting Head of Investment Agency

Seasoned international professional takes charge with mandate to boost investor outreach

The Council of Montenegro’s Investment Agency has appointed Mirjana Kojić as acting director. Born in 1977, Kojić brings more than two decades of experience in cultural and business institutions across Montenegro, Serbia, and Italy, with a career spanning international cooperation, investment promotion, and strategic project management.

Before this appointment, Kojić headed the International Cooperation Sector at Montenegro’s Music Centre, where she secured one of the country’s largest cultural donations—nearly €1 million in equipment through Japan’s cultural programme implemented by JICA.

She has also served as Secretary-General of the Italian-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, approved by Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, strengthening economic ties between Italy and the region.

Her diverse career includes work at Deloitte Serbia, Montenegro’s Ministry of Economy, and the Friuli Venezia Giulia region in Italy. By bringing cultural diplomacy and business acumen together, Kojić is expected to give Montenegro’s investment promotion a sharper international edge at a time when competition for foreign capital in the Adria region is intensifying.
