“Matijević” Acquires Belgrade’s Slavija Hotel

In a significant move within Serbia's hospitality sector, the Ministry of Economy announced the successful completion of the Slavija Hotel's privatisation process.

The acquisition was formalised through a contract signing between Slobodan Cvetković, the Serbian Minister of Economy, and representatives from “Matijević”, a prominent company in the region.

This development comes three months after the Ministry of Economy of Serbia advertised the sale of the hotel, setting an initial price tag of 24.94 million euros. The conclusion of this deal marks a pivotal moment in the Serbian hospitality industry, reflecting a growing trend of private sector involvement in what was once predominantly state-owned enterprises.
