Ljubljana School Introduces Forest Therapy Into Curriculum

A primary school in Ljubljana has launched an innovative program that brings students from classrooms into nearby forests to practice forest therapy.

The initiative aims to reduce stress, improve concentration, and encourage stronger social interaction among children.

Teachers say the outdoor activities not only boost mental well-being but also help pupils connect more deeply with nature.

The program reflects a growing trend in Slovenia to combine education with nature-based learning and mental health practices, with similar projects expected to expand to other schools in the coming years.
