CKB Named Montenegro’s Bank of the Year

The Banker honours the country’s leading lender for dominance, trust, and steady growth

CKB has been named Montenegro’s Bank of the Year by prestigious international magazine The Banker, reaffirming its position as the country’s largest and most influential financial institution. With strong market share in both loans and deposits, an expansive branch network, and advanced digital banking, the award highlights a year defined by stability and continued expansion.

The Banker has consistently recognised CKB for sustainable growth, technological investment, and balance-sheet strength, but this year’s award also underscores the role of the bank’s employees.

At the gala ceremony in London, board chairman Tamaš Kamaraši emphasized that the accolade reflects the dedication of a team that sees banking as a relationship of trust — a commitment embodied in the bank’s “Tu smo.” philosophy.

Operating as part of OTP Group, one of Central and Eastern Europe’s fastest-growing banking networks, CKB benefits from strong expertise and investment capacity. OTP itself secured top regional rankings in The Banker’s CEE Top 100 list for the third consecutive year, reinforcing its status as a leading independent financial institution focused on innovation, stability, and sustainable development.
