Belgrade to Open First Startup Factory in January

Belgrade's Tesla Venture Studio to fuel regional innovation and boost the local startup ecosystem

In January, Belgrade will launch its first startup factory, the Tesla Venture Studio, which aims to create and strengthen startups while serving as a regional innovation hub.

This initiative was announced by Marko Čadež, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

Čadež noted that Microsoft’s AI Azure was developed in Belgrade’s innovation center, and that Novi Sad-based tech company RT-RK produces smart camera systems for major automotive brands, including Volvo.

Tesla Venture Studio will be led by Antoinia Norman, former director and board member of Virgin Unite Africa. Speaking to the press, Norman shared her excitement about Serbia’s unique startup energy, comparing it to her global experiences working with startups and entrepreneurs from Africa to the U.S., Amsterdam, and Turkey.
