BBDO Zagreb and Bruketa&Žinić&Grey Shine at BalCannes 2024

Agencies from five Adria region countries honoured for standout creativity at Rovinj’s Days of Communication festival

The region’s top creative minds gathered in Rovinj as the winners of BalCannes 2024, the leading regional creativity competition, were revealed during the Days of Communication festival. Agencies from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Slovenia, and Serbia competed in categories ranging from branding to community care.

The coveted Grand Prix went to BBDO Zagreb and Zagrebačka pivara for their campaign BUDI HRABAR, BUDI ZDRAV, while Bruketa&Žinić&Grey was crowned Best Agency in the Region. The title of Best Advertiser was awarded to Marodi, who also received the Editor’s Pick Award for A soup to remember, in partnership with Bruketa&Žinić&Grey.

Agencies competed in three main mosaics—MarketDesign, and Positive Change—earning bronze, silver, and gold awards across categories like Food, Beverages, Finance, Telecommunications, and Community Care.

Among the notable gold winners:

  • A1 Serbia and Leo Burnett Belgrade (The most important influencers)
  • Halkbank Skopje and McCann Skopje (Startup Garage)
  • INA and Imago Ogilvy (INA BOLJE STATI NEGO ZASPATI)
  • Kraš and Imago Ogilvy (NAPOLITANKE UŽIVAJ IZMEĐU REDOVA)
  • OPG Ravnik and Studio Sonda (Rawino – Crafted by terroir)

This year’s juries included leading creatives and advertisers from across the region, while the media jury behind the Editor’s Pick Award represented top industry publications such as Advertiser SerbiaMarketing Magazin, and Media Marketing.

The festive award night celebrated the best in regional advertising and ended on a high with informal networking and celebration among communication professionals.
