Montenegro Celebrates Independence Day with Pledge of Progress and EU Aspirations

Montenegro's Prime Minister Milojko Spajić hosted a distinguished gathering in Villa Gorica to celebrate the nation's Independence Day, emphasizing advancements and a steadfast commitment to European integration

On the occasion of Montenegro’s Independence Day, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić hosted a ceremonial reception at Villa Gorica, attended by diplomats, politicians, and numerous officials. In his address, Spajić outlined the significant strides made by his administration, emphasizing ongoing improvements in infrastructure and economic development as key achievements of his tenure.

Spajić highlighted the government’s commitment to fostering a better future for Montenegro’s children and ensuring the financial security of its elderly. “In just two months, we have created the conditions to increase the minimum pension, with a recent government decision paving the way for proportional pensioners to receive increased benefits at the start of next year,” he stated, underscoring the government’s obligation to secure a minimum income of 450 euros for human dignity.

Reflecting on Montenegro’s European journey, Spajić conveyed optimism about the upcoming positive IBAR report, viewing it as a beacon of hope for the country’s European aspirations. He passionately spoke of Montenegro’s progress as an impetus for regional optimism, suggesting that the nation’s advancement could inspire its neighbors and reinvigorate belief in European integration across the Balkans.

Concluding his speech, Spajić reaffirmed his dedication to advancing Montenegro’s progress every day of his mandate and his life, asserting that the best days for Montenegro are yet to come. “For Montenegro to be eternal, it must be excellent,” he declared, extending his Independence Day greetings to the nation.
