Germany’s Supplier Initiative Opens Doors for Balkan

The German-backed initiative seeks to forge lasting business ties between small and medium-sized enterprises in the Balkans and German manufacturers

Germany is once again offering a golden opportunity to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the Balkans through its supplier initiative, which has been running since 2015.

Sponsored by Germany’s Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, the initiative focuses on facilitating business-to-business (B2B) partnerships between companies from the Balkans and German buyers, particularly in the metalworking, plastics, and electronics sectors.

The event, scheduled for June 3-4, 2025, in Nuremberg, will bring together 31 leading German firms and regional manufacturers eager to expand their networks.

Using the online platform, www.bmematchmaking.com, companies can review buyer requirements and apply for free participation.

The deadline for applications is March 14, 2025, and those selected will have the chance to establish long-term partnerships.

The project, conducted in English with an option for German, promises a unique chance for businesses to thrive on the European stage—without cost barriers.
