Adriatic Metals Hits Commercial Production

Bosnia’s Vares silver operation enters steady-state output, boosting region’s mining ambitions

Adriatic Metals has officially declared commercial production at its Vares Silver Operation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, marking a significant milestone for both the company and the country’s mining sector.

The announcement follows sustained plant throughput levels—reaching 2,000 tonnes per day in late June—and the resolution of earlier bottlenecks related to tailings management.

Completion of the Veovača Tailings Storage Facility in March and the opening of a new dedicated access road have enabled smooth operations. Mining at the Rupice site is advancing steadily, with a quarterly record of 500 metres of underground development completed in Q2.

With production stabilising and all key permits, equipment, and personnel in place, Bosnia now gains a new foothold on the map of European critical raw materials. A full Q2 update is expected shortly.
